About the club
Llanwern is a mature 18-hole parkland course on the outskirts of Newport. The club was established in 1928, and its 18-hole layout was formally opened in 1937 with an exhibition match involving Walter Hagen. It is known for the quality of its greens and was named by Peter Allis as one of the UK's top three hidden gems.
