About the club
Holyhead is an 18-hole heathland course at Trearddur Bay on Holy Island, Anglesey, in North Wales rather than South Wales. James Braid laid it out in 1912 and it opened for play in 1914. The fairways are tight and lined with gorse, heather and bracken, and the elevated 10th tee gives wide views.
