About the club

Welshpool is an 18-hole hillside course on Golfa Hill above the town, with views towards the Shropshire hills and Snowdonia. The club was first established in 1894 in the Deer Park at Powis Castle, then moved to Red Bank, and settled on Golfa Hill in 1930. The course was designed by James Braid and built by John Stutt. The signature hole is the 12th, which plays across a large valley.
