About the club
St Mellons is a parkland course between Cardiff and Newport. Harry Colt designed it, and sources give its opening as 1936 or 1937. It became a members club in 1964. The course straddles the Gwent and South Glamorgan county boundary and has hosted several Welsh internationals.
