About the club

Holywell Golf Club is an inland links-style course on Brynford Common, about 800 feet above sea level, with views towards the Clwydian Range and Snowdonia. The club was founded in 1906 as a 9-hole course, and the full 18 holes in use today opened in 1991. Natural hazards include old quarries, water features and grass bunkers, and two Bronze Age round barrows (Clwt Militia) lie within the course. I did not find a named designer. The club is in Flintshire, North Wales, not South Wales.
