About the club
Cardigan Golf Club is an 18-hole clifftop course above the Teifi Estuary at Gwbert. The club's website calls it an upland links, and other sources describe it as a mix of links and parkland. The club was founded in 1895 as a 9-hole course and was extended to 18 holes in the 1970s by Fred Hawtree. It has hosted Welsh Golfing Union championships and international matches, and Wales Golf named it Golf Club of the Year in 2023.
